2004 THE GIFTS OF THE MAGI TBA Players revisits a holiday classic that promises to warm the hearts of young and old alike. Although a simple story about love and kindness during difficult times, O Henry's timeless holiday parable never fails to leave an impression.
2004 COMIC POTENTIAL By one of England's premier contemporary playwrights, the prolific and very comic Alan Ayckbourn, the play is set on a future TV sound stage where very human robots are used as actors in order to avoid the expense and annoyance of regular actors. One of the starlet robots, though, appears to have a sense of humor.
2003 AN EMTPY PLATE AT THE CAFE DU GRAND BOEUF A particulary cynical French farce, written by an American, charting the heartbreak and disappointment of an American man with too much money and not enough love.
2003 MUSIC FROM A SPARKLING PLANET This play explored the influence of a childhood filled with television on adults trying to make their way in the world. Tamara Tomorrow, a vaguely futuristic character invented to introduce cartoons, provides the centerpiece for three childhood friends finding their way to becoming men.
2002 THE GIFTS OF THE MAGI This musical drama is based on the famous O. Henry story of the couple who each sell their most precious possession to buy a gift for the other. It was TBA's first foray into musical theater, and will re-produced for the 2004 holiday season. Look forward to that.
2002 THE BOYS NEXT DOOR
2001 THE LOVE COURSE This was TBA's first production, a one-act play performed at Just Off Broadway and directed by Judy Brewster. Some of the cast for this production were found during sample auditions for a drama class at Penn Valley Community College. One of the students had forgone tickets to a Royals day to attend class, and got a plum role in the play!
